Mr. Winningham was employed in 1955 by the architectural partnership of Gamble, Pownall and Gilroy, Architects where he advanced to become a principal in the firm of Gamble, Gilroy, Martin and Winningham, Architects P.A. In his capacity there, he was a responsible principal involved in the design of numerous projects among which were Pine Crest School, the Main Fort Lauderdale Post Office, Bendix Avionics, the Tarpon River Office Building, and a J.C. Penny Department Store at Westland Mall in Hialeah.
Since establishing his own practice Mr. Winningham has completed designs for the Women's Detention Center and the Central Services Center for the Broward County Board of Commissioners; The Fort Lauderdale office of the Internal Revenue Service; extensive alterations and additions at Ed Morse Chevrolet and Bayview Cadillac; Offices and Studios for Selkirk Communications; Coral Springs Honda, Coral Springs Oldsmobile, Coral Springs Nissan, Rick Case Acura and Toyota of Hollywood.
